RE: $2400 for Winnebago View Booth Seats??

I have the table already. I just want the booth seats put back in. Seems to me the dealer could buy the bucket chairs from me (ie: reduce the price by at least $1k), but surely that won't happen. They'd just hold onto the seats until the next person wanted them installed, and then charge that person a fortune.
I'm beginning to agree with someone who spoke about this dealer: great buys on rvs....but lousy, over-priced, and rude service thereafter.
Guess I'll find my own way to 2 booth seats.

$2400 for Winnebago View Booth Seats??

I hate the bucket seats (previous owner's "upgrade") in my View 23J and want the booth seats put back in, not only for the more comfortable seating, but also for the ability to make it back into a bed. I just got a quote for the job and it was $2400!!! BEFORE labor!!
??!!
Does that sound right to you? I figured about $1k....not 3x that.

City/Zip

Just FYI: you made me lie! I'm a full-timer, and don't have an address, so for the State, I tried to pick "other/NA"...but it insists on a zip then.
I randomly picked a state/zip, lied in other boxes too. But the Other/NA should not require a zip...and for those of us who are fulltimers, the full address requirements are hard.

thanks...but eddos won't allow tents.
I doubt the other one will either. But they charge $210 a week.

Monthly *Affordable* w/HU's Within 2hrs San Francisco?

I have spend 2 days searching and searching for a campground within 2 hours of San Fran that is safe, reasonable, has FHU, wifi, and won't cost more than $500 a month (including HU), and will allow a pup tent on the site. And I don't want a "parking spot" type place.
I'm dizzy from it.
Son is moving to area and I'm helping him with RV...need a monthly place that won't depress us as we look for an apartment for him.
All seem to be about $650 +++ ($$ extra car, taxes, HU on and on) or they don't allow a tent (son & girlfriend are NOT sleeping in my Skinny Winnie with me!)
I've nearly had it...can't look anymore.
Anyone?

Warning: Off Topic!
Lynne and Jim: If you're in the same house, can't ya just TALK to each other?? Rather than here on the forums?!! ;)
(I just wanted to be the first one to say that on the boards!)
We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

RE: Illegal to haul Kayak on the side?

Well, I'd go with a 10fter tied to my ladder before I'd do an inflatable or folding. Just my preference.
The width issue gets even worse too, as the living area of the coach extends beyond the front fender already (by about 6") on the View.

RE: Illegal to haul Kayak on the side?

Thanks...I know about RvRaxx and porta-boat. I'm trying to see if I can haul a 17-ft kayak without using the roof or folding a boat. I don't need it to extend beyond the fender.
golden & rvtogo....where can I find these rules you've stated? And can it *only* go on the passenger side?

RE: Illegal to haul Kayak on the side?

I couldn't get it up/down from the roof myself, and don't want to install a lift.
rv....are you sure I can go to 102"? That gives me 12" deep...which I think would do. Even given bow/stern pushout.

Illegal to haul Kayak on the side?

Okay, this is my last ditch effort to ask about hauling a kayak. If I can't do this, them I'm stuck with a 10-fter.
Is there such a thing as a 5" deep kayak? If so, do you think one could secure it to the side of a 7'.5" RV?
I know I'm reaching here, but I know the experience of a 10fter just won't compare to the 17fter.
I do dream.....and that's okay.

RE: Next to no Bs for sale for years...then 2 in today's paper?

I found mine in a similar fashion. But the appearance today of 2 in the local paper just threw me....having seen nearly none for 3 years.
Nationally, I've seen many. Locally, none.

RE: Cost to Full-ime: What goes up, what goes down?

Factors are everything: state of residency? collision/comp you want, glass, full-timers....many things play a role.
Only quotes will tell. Decide what you want and contact the agencies. Perhaps there is an online broad-spectrum site like there is with ehealth. I don't know.
